Best Chair for Computer Gaming?

Now that I’m retired I’ve found myself spending more time in front of my computer gaming than I did before, and the discomfort of my regular leather chair is starting to become appearent. I had a bad back injury in my lower lumbar when I was younger, so it makes that discomfort even more stressful.

I’ve been trying to search for a good chair to replace my woes, and tend to keep coming back to the Herman Miller’s Embody chair, or the Generation chair by Knoll. However, the only reviews I can find for these chairs all talk about office use. Any gaming chair reviews I find are fancy chair/device integrations out of a leather seat, which are usually attatched to a special desk, like the V1 Chair. Not wanting something like that, just a chair by itself.

Would you say that the Embody or Generation is better for long periods of gaming? Or maybe something else entirely?

  1. The best chairs for gaming are light weight black mesh chairs in which your weight is suspended between the bars kind of like a hammoc. This prevents any pressure points, and you dont get all sweaty after several hours sitting down, because of the breath ability of the material.
The only downside to this type of chair is that it is kind of hard to find, and in some cases can be expensive.
